Project Description

Conceived as both a place of contemplation and a practical learning environment, the Mt Maria Chapel serves the dual purpose of sacred gathering and formal education. Operable walls allow the space to transform seamlessly between six individual classrooms and a single expansive assembly hall, accommodating the full breadth of college life.

The building's form and material palette draw from the wider campus language, ensuring a unified architectural presence across the grounds. Sited centrally on a primary external circulation axis, the building culminates in a recessed niche where a statue of Mary provides a serene focal point — grounding the project spiritually and spatially at the heart of the college.
