Project Description
This two‑storey private residence is located within an established, leafy suburban context on a compact and tightly constrained site. The design responds to limited frontage and depth through careful spatial organisation and the strategic use of curved forms to soften the building’s presence and enhance arrival.
At ground level, a concealed garage door and curved entry sequence reduce visual bulk and establish a sense of discretion from the street. This curved geometry is carried through the project, referenced in the upper-level scalloped cladding, which provides both articulation and texture while lending the house a calm, cohesive identity.
The home accommodates a mix of formal and informal living spaces, organised around a double-height volume at the rear that opens to the pool and adjoining nature reserve. This space acts as the heart of the house, drawing in light, views and landscape to reinforce a strong connection to nature. A front courtyard with fireplace offers a more enclosed, intimate outdoor setting, balancing prospect and privacy.
Throughout, the design prioritises elegance, restraint and clarity, delivering a contemporary yet refined family home that is responsive to site constraints and its suburban setting.
This project was delivered in conjunction with Element Group.
