Project Description

The Cleveland Medical centre involved intense planning and scrutiny to deliver a 4 storey building plus 2.5 basement carpark. Situated on a prominent corner location, expansive glazing to the north and west of the building are controlled by modest but effective sun shading devices to maximise and control light penetration. The facade is balanced with contrasting solid walls and stepped planting beds to articulate the zero setback.

The purpose-built higher order medical use plays an import role in meeting an unmet demand in the locality. The development of an essential local service, combined with the design merit, reinforces Cleveland as the primary centre of Redlands. The development consists of a private day hospital (1,300sqm GFA), supplemented by other consulting suites (Health Care Services and Offices), and retail spaces (food and drink outlet and shop).
